How to Roast Marshmallows With an Oven Toaster

Growing up, we all have probably watched a movie wherein they all go camping and they gather around a campfire. After all those other campfire activities, at one point, the marshmallows come out. Every single one of us have probably wondered what it would be like getting to taste the warm gooey sweetness of the roasted marshmallows. Then, when we go to ask our parents for a camping trip, we get a "No." or a "Maybe next time."

You are going to need some marshmallows, cooking spray, aluminum foil, a plate and toothpicks and of course, you are going to need your toaster oven. If you don't have a cooking spray though, some butter, oil or margarine will do just fine.

The first thing you are going to do is to cut out a piece of aluminum foil to match the size of the tray inside your toaster oven. Afterwards, spray a light coat of cooking spray onto the tray lined with aluminum foil. This is so that the marshmallows won't stick onto the foil so, using some butter, oil or margarine will yield the same results.

The next thing you are going to do is to place the marshmallows into the tray. Be sure to leave appropriate spacing in between the marshmallows because, similar to when you bake cookies, these tend to expand while they cook. So, when you are placing the marshmallows in, leave approximately a one inch radius around each marshmallow.

After placing your marshmallows in, place the tray back into the toaster oven. Change the settings of your toaster oven into the broil setting. Let them cook until the marshmallows turn brown. Do not leave them because leaving them for too long could probably burn them.

Once the marshmallows have browned then, carefully take them out. Use the toothpicks to take the marshmallows out but be careful because these marshmallows are hot. Let them cool for a minute or two and then all you have to do it eat them.

There are standard testing methods that are used to ensure the quality of products and equipment in all conditions. Hermetic seal testing is one such test that is carried out to improve the dependability of the equipment or product in question. It tests hermeticity, a lack of which may lead to failure of the equipment due to the presence of contaminants and moisture that would have entered due to an incomplete or improper seal. This testing is important for the proper working of space and military equipment, as well as devices used commercially.

Helium spray sniff examination is done on packages with open cavity and also the ones that have undergone IVA testing. This test is carried out to identify leak site in packages. How devices are set up for the test is important to achieving best results. Vacuum is drawn to the leak detector from the internal cavity through either the leak site of IVA test or open cavity of the device. Helium spray has a tendency of making a helium patch in the vicinity of the leak site. As helium passes into the detector through the leak site, the location of the site can be detected. Kr85 testing can also be used to identify the leak site in packages. After Kr85 testing, the leak site can be identified by using an instrument to pass gamma rays through the device.

Another test that is used to identify leak sites is fluorescent dye impregnation. This testing is very helpful in not only knowing the regions of leaks but also in defining the physical properties of the openings. It is a method that enables improvement of processes used to seal packages.

If helium is used in sealing devices, krypton 85 or helium fine leak testing is done. In this process, a chamber with high pressure is used to precondition devices. On reaching optimum conditions, devices are checked for leak rate.

For gases and compounds other than helium, such as Acetic Acid, Argon, Ethylene Glycol, CO2, and others, a special spectrometer is used to detect leak rates.
