Our Foil Seal is compatible with polypropylene and polystyrene plates. This seal demonstrates moderate solvent resistance and can be used for low temperature compound storage in clean peelable heat seal foil lid and organic solvents and short term room temperature storage.

The Foil Seal can be pierced with a pipette tip, manually or by liquid handling robots, or it can be removed by peeling. It can be resealed by applying another Foil Seal directly on top of a previously pierced seal.

One of the best ways to keep food from spoiling is to seal it in an airtight bag, but you might want to reuse the same bag a food came in instead of putting it in a clean peelable heat seal foil lid.

It's the same basic premise as a vacuum sealer and works great to keep food lasting longer. With your food inside the bag, fold a piece of aluminum foil over the opening of the bag. Then run the iron over the foil for a few minutes so the plastic melts together. Wait for it to cool and remove the aluminum foil. Now you have an airtight bag to keep your food from spoiling too quickly.
