If you are looking for a more effective and environmentally friendly form of insulation then foil insulation is a great choice. It is made from layers of aluminum foil, air bubbles and wadding. It works by reflecting radiant heat. The traditional types actually conduct heat and do not reflect it.
Foil insulation produces better results with less material than other types such as fiberglass. It also reduces the amount of vapor condensation. Other types of insulation can have problems with condensation buildup.
Let’s go over some of the benefits of foil insulation. There is no health risks with this type; unlike there are with fiberglass. You do need to wear protective clothing when installing this type. It can be cut very easily with standard scissors.

Another benefit of foil insulation is that you do not need to double up on layers. Using only one layer is sufficient. Adding more layers will not improve performance.
As far as the actual installation goes, work from left to right and top to bottom. Start by stapling the material to the first rafter or truss and then unroll it and staple it to each rafter or truss. You can overlap each joint by approximately fifty millimeters.

Geo-Liners and water storage
